On the 20th July 2013 Southgate held its first festival organised by The Southgate Chamber of Trade. The purpose of this was to bring together the local community, visitors to Southgate and local businesses.
The event was a success and the next one is fixed for Saturday 23 November 2013 which is billed as the Christmas festival.
Life is so fast paced these days that you take your surroundings for granted without stopping to look and take in what they have to offer. These events are a great way to facilitate the right environment for local businesses to engage with potential new customers and equally encourage customers to look around and question at their leisure in friendly hospitable surroundings.
Did you attend the Southgate Summer Festival? Have you taken part in such events? What does it take to create a successful festival?
All the best

P.S. I hope you can attend the Christmas festival to be able to enjoy the local offerings. You will be able to find me at the Southgate Members Club which will be opening its doors to the public. Do come in you won’t be disappointed.
