Dear All
The journey from start to finish has certainly been a mixture of emotions from frustration to inspiration and excitement. One thing is certain though it has been worth it!
I am asked by family, friends and clients why write a book, “what’s the point?” “haven’t you got anything better to do?”. Here is my answer:
1) Ever since I was a child I have always wanted to write a book. I’d start writing a children’s book but never completed it. I’d also enjoy writing comedy sketches which made some friends laugh at school! Let this be a positive message intended to inspire and encourage all my readers. Those readers who have already written a book or several you will empathise and no doubt advocate the same thing, if you have a dream you can achieve it by careful planning and execution!
2) I am fascinated by all things entrepreneurial and property. This gives me a buzz and so it made it relatively easy and became the obvious choice when deciding upon the title for the book.
3) The inspiration for the book came at Business 2012 where I saw on stage Sir Richard Branson followed by Raymond Aaron. My vision for the future was ignited after this encounter!
4) Writing a book is a great way of collecting knowledge, thoughts and ideas in to a focused whole to which you can refer and reflect, a sounding board something you can refer to clients other contacts and authorities. Sharing knowledge and growing together makes good business sense. In The Book On Entrepreneurship and Property I stress the importance of strong strategic partnerships by giving examples from history to modern day. Success comes by working together.
According to the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) entrepreneurship globally is on the rise and is the best hope for stimulating a weakened world economy. Share your thoughts with me here and join me in encouraging ethical, effective entrepreneurship! Let’s ride this innovative wave together!
All the best
